Karl Braun, PE

Karl is a Project Manager & Mechanical Engineer for New Ridge Engineering and has been in the MEP field for 9 years.
He has worked on various commercial projects, including smaller outpatient mechanical retrofit projects, large new hospital construction, restaurants, and offices, designing mechanical and plumbing systems. He joined the team in 2022 to continue his career in engineering healthcare, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Karl began his career in the healthcare MEP field while studying at James Madison University’s College of Integrated Science and Engineering, interning for 3 years with a local MEP firm. There, he worked designing plumbing and medical gas systems for various commercial, outpatient, and hospital projects and was introduced to the field of MEP design for healthcare.

Since then, Karl has continued to grow his knowledge in mechanical and plumbing design, specializing in hospital, healthcare, and restaurant projects. He is a member of ASHRAE, VSHE, and the USGBC and is interested in sustainability, advances in HVAC technology, and project leadership.
