Short-Circuit, Selective Coordination, and Arc Flash Analysis

PROTECTIVE DEVICE STUDIES FOR SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE |

New Ridge Engineering can provide electrical systems analysis, including short-circuit, selective coordination, and arc flash studies. These studies are required by OSHA in many types of buildings, especially where the owner employs their own electricians, and they are required to be updated every five years. New Ridge Engineering has performed these in large healthcare facilities as well as for small projects involving minimal electrical work. When performing these studies, we always seek to provide solutions to coordination issues where possible. Many times, solutions can be as simple as adjusting a circuit breaker dial, while sometimes it may involve replacing equipment. We are always happy to provide a high-level cost-benefit analysis to help facility owners decide if mitigating issues is the right solution for the client.
