Kindbody Fertility clinics provide fertility, gynecology, health, and wellness services to patients in convenient, welcoming locations throughout the country. They emphasize patient experience by providing high-quality finishes, furniture, and lighting. Kindbody locations are selected in high-profile urban areas where space is constrained, and systems need to be carefully planned for incorporation into the building.
New Ridge Engineering has helped Kindbody develop company standards for laboratory HVAC systems, laboratory gas systems, and emergency power systems. MEP designs for these unique clinics frequently include electrical service upgrades, generator additions, water and natural gas service upgrades, and HVAC system renovation or replacement. These have been successfully designed in spaces ranging from single-story, single-occupancy buildings to tenant spaces in urban, high-rise buildings.
Electrical Design |
The electrical systems at all locations are designed to accommodate available power. In some cases, new utility services can be coordinated to suit Kindbody’s needs, but in many cases, the distribution within the suite had to be creatively designed to be split across multiple feeders.
Each location has backup power tailored to the site’s ability to accommodate it. Many locations are capable of generator installation, and for those, a generator is provided. However, many clinics are located on the ground floor of a high-rise building in an urban area, so generator systems aren’t feasible. While more limited on runtime, battery systems for those locations were designed to back up the most essential components of the facilities.
