Mike Juergens

Mike is a principal and co-founder of New Ridge Engineering. He graduated from Kansas State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. Throughout his 22-year career, Mike has engineered a wide variety of challenging projects. He has designed complex vertical expansion healthcare projects, infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, multi-phased, highly technical renovations within functioning healthcare institutions, and greenfield hospitals. Mike has served as the Prime consultant on several projects, coordinating various subconsultants and contractors, and has also served as the quality control reviewer for several government projects.

Mike has served as the Lead HVAC and Plumbing Engineer as well as the Project Manager for these projects, and he is well-versed in all aspects of the design and construction process. He has produced master planning documents for large healthcare systems and conducted studies with return-on-investment recommendations for chillers, boilers, and air-handling systems. Mike has led integrated project delivery, design-build, and design-bid-build projects. His dedication to his clients and their needs has resulted in intimate facility knowledge of many of his repeat clients. He focuses on listening to his clients to determine the best solution for their needs.

In addition to his project experience, Mike has led and developed a team of mechanical engineers, emphasizing quality and continuous learning. Mike has been published in engineering magazines and is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers.
